EXPERIENCE

Alfonso joined H&A in 2012 and became a partner of the firm in 2022.

His international involvement with various IP organizations (such as INTA, IPO and AIPPI), has made him the firm's go-to person when it comes to international IP protection strategies, with a particular focus on North and Latin America.

As an European lawyer with experience in substantive trademark matters, both at European and national level in Spain, he has also developed an in-depth knowledge of North and Latin American law and practice.

He advises several digital content creators, the so called "influencers", as well as several start-ups and SMEs in Spain, getting involved in their national and international trademark protection strategies.

Alfonso has been recognized with the "Intellectual Property Law" award at Best Lawyers in Spain in 2020 for his excellence in the work carried out throughout 2019 and later on different WTR 1000 editions as a “go-to practitioner in Spain”.

He is also an active member of the Spanish group of AIPPI and in the Famous and Renowned Trademarks committee of INTA, as well as of IPO's International Trademarks committee, and an observer member of the IP Compulsory Licensing and US Trademark Law committees.
