EXPERIENCE
Isabel joined H&A in 2004 as a technical patent advisor, initially as part of the Mechanical area’s team and now focusing on the Telecom, Software and AI Patents Area.
She began her career as a Telecommunications Engineer at renowned companies in the telecom sector, such as Telefonica and Alcatel. She participated for several years in various projects, particularly within Alcatel's Research and Development department from 1995 to 2001 and, in 1996, for Telefonica’s R&D. She also delivered multiple presentations at various Telecom R&D Conferences.
While working at H&A, she has also worked as a professor at the University Carlos III in Madrid (UC3M), from 2008 to 2011, teaching courses on Service Engineering related to mobile network architectures and protocols.
Currently, within the Telecom, Software and AI Patents Area of H&A's Patent department, she handles technical patent prosecution tasks (patent drafting, responding to official actions, etc.) as well as preparing infringement and patentability reports.
She is H&A's virtual correspondent in the METAVERSE, with specialized knowledge in disruptive technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Virtual and Augmented Reality, Blockchain, Web 3.0 and Web 4.0 and Quantum Computing.
Additionally, she is a member of H&A's Diversity Committee, undertaking initiatives to improve matters related to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), within H&A specifically, and for the Intellectual Property (IP) sector in general.
