ADDITIONAL STUDIES

Graduate in Telecommunications Engineering from the Sevilla’s University, (1997) with a diploma in Patent Litigation in Europe from the Strasbourg University.

EXPERIENCE

Manuel joined H&A in 2010 as Patent advisor, drafting and prosecuting EPO and PCT patent applications and also patent applications in Spain, USA, China and other countries. Nowadays, he is the Head of the Telecom, Software and AI Patents Area.

He is a former European Patent Office (EPO) examiner in the Telecommunications cluster in The Hague (Netherlands) and a Spanish Patent Attorney. Previously, he worked for several years in different telecommunications companies (Vodafone, Telefonica…).

He specialized in patents belonging to the following technical fields: mobile communications networks, blockchain, IoT, artificial intelligence, authentication, encryption and data transmission and processing, among others. He is also a qualified representative before the Unitary Patent Court (UPC).

At present, he is also a professor in different IP seminars and master’s degrees, as for example, the IP master’s degree “Magister Lucentinus” and the CEIPI European Patent Law training courses in Madrid and Barcelona.
