EXPERIENCE
Rafaela Mattos joined H&A in 2016 as a lawyer.
Previously, she has worked as a lawyer in Administrative and Regulatory Law in well-known Brazilian law firms, with legal consultancy, prosecution and defense of legal actions of administrative and regulatory content, including the Industrial Property Law, patent investigation and procedural analysis of applications.
As an IP lawyer, she has expertise in activities related to patents administrative prosecution, with the analysis, preparation and response of technical examination requests at the Brazilian Patent and Trademark Office, adapting the set of claims in accordance with the requirements of Brazilian practice and analysis of prohibited matters as determined by the Brazilian IP Law.
She also carries out prior consultations and clarifications of IP, as well as analysis of the possibilities of requests for accelerated procedures and divisional applications and requested amendments.
